Analysis Memorandum

Analysis Notes Summary This is an analysis note that recommends using the Microsoft Access database in the security department infrastructure. Many security administrators rely heavily on using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to track employees, security breaches, inspection plans, and training. Spreadsheets are an effective means of performing complex calculations, but spreadsheets are also limited to show the quality of the relationship between the security data associated with a particular field and the query. The following documents provide some suggestions for drafting predictive legal analysis. The form of proposal of the Memorandum of Understanding of the Ministry of Justice, the structure of the working draft, the sample memorandum of understanding and the advanced sample memorandum show the facts of the traditional structure emphasizing specific legal problems and their answers followed by merely legal significance I will. The resolution of de facto legal issues depends on - an d the applicable legal rules, the facts applied to the case, and the arguments about the possible refutation of key analysis items. One of the most difficult parts of writing a legal memorandum is to reach a defensive conclusion when the law is uncertain or applicable to your facts. Since the purpose of the memo is to answer the raised legal question, you can not just leave there saying that the law is not clear. You must believe that your research and analysis skills will allow you to provide reasonable answers. The discussion section is in the center of the memo. It interprets and analyzes the law and provides a place to apply it to your facts (the term integration will let you guide you through this section). For each individual legal issue included in the Memorandum, the discussion section should be divided into separate sections; subheadings are useful here. The discussion of each question should include an introduction, an explanation of applicable legal rules, application of rules to legal issues, and conclusions on the problem.

Oxaliplatin Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3500 words

Oxaliplatin - Essay Example This was developed following discovery of cisplatin in an attempt to reduce the problematic side effects of cisplatin. This is administered intravenously, and till date, no commercially viable orally active agent has been reported to be accepted for therapy3,4. Like cisplatin, oxaliplatin is also associated with quite a few dose-limiting adverse effects, which include myelosuppression along with others5. These are neurotoxic side effects that include sensory peripheral neuropathy which can be dose limiting. The other side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances and ototoxicity, while renal function may be normally monitored during therapy6. In this assignment contemporary literature will be reviewed to address the effects of oxaliplatin genotoxicity on human lymphocytes by using various cytogenetic techniques. Oxaliplatin contains a cyclohexyl and a pentadilactone ring, which will be evident from its chemical structure in a later section7. This has been approved for treatment of metastatic colon cancer in combination with 5-fluorouracil and folinic acid8. Therefore, this is a diaminocyclohexane (DACH) platinum compound9. This was considered as a probable chemotherapeutic agent since it demonstrated preclinical activities in some cisplatin-resistant cell lines and xenografts10. Oxaliplatin is an important member of this DACH platinum group of compounds. Its preclinical activity against colorectal cancer has been studied in great detail. It has been suggested that oxaliplatin has a greater extent of cell kill in resistant cancers since therapy with this agent may result in greater resistance to repair mechanisms leading to affected recovery of cancer cells11. This has been attributed to the size of the DACH carrier ligands, resulting into a bulkier platinum-DNA adduct in comparison to that created by cisplatin12. The inhibitory effects of platinum compounds have been ascribed to formation of inorganic platinum compounds in presence

The Concept of Linear Regression Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

The Concept of Linear Regression - Essay Example However, a multiple regression models comprises of a single independent variable with multiple independent variables. For instance, stock returns are dependent on interest rates, risk, dividend payout ratio and various other variables. The most common example of simple linear regression is market index model. It assumes that the returns on the stock are only dependent on market returns (Elton & Gruber, 2007). Observations of the market often reveal that as the market goes up, the stock also follows the same direction. This implies that stock returns are correlated with market returns thus we can relate it to the stock market index. An example of multiple regression is cited in the literature by Lusztig & Schwab (1970), where multiple regression analysis was used to estimate the insurance expenses (dependent variable), through commission, profit and contingencies and premium taxes (independent Variables). Minimum least (sum of squares) method is used to estimate the model for regression equation. The values are chosen in such a way that the (vertical) distances from the data points to the fitted lines are minimized (so that the line fits the data as closely as possible). The figure below shows the best-fitted line for a simple linear regression model. For instance, there is a general perception that there are indications that "soda and sweetened drinks are the main sources of calories in American Diet," therefore most of the nutritionists recommend that soft drinks can be detrimental to health if they are consumed excessively.
